The Time of Troubles has already begun…

It is an age where the Rule of One King over the vast Kingdom Amaranthum (an allied group of human dominated nations making up most of the land mass of the northern world) has brought a lasting time of relative peace and balance.

But the last decade has marked a dangerous time, when astrological alignment has created a period where the forces of the dark gods and the creatures of the Underdark grow strong. A period that has happened before, long long ago, called the Time of Troubles. And indeed, the Friends at the heart of our story grew up in a new age where troubles among civilized peoples has again grown, and supernatural evil has become more and more commonplace.

Our story follows a Company of would-be Heroes and Adventurers from their origins in the western region of Markus in Archamea, a nation of the Kingdom Amaranthum, at a castle and village where most of the characters grew up as a pack of local troublemakers together. After going their separate paths, they have returned home under the banner of a new Mercenary Company led by the charismatic rogue and heiress to the region, Lydia Vandersilt, to deal with the threats to their homelands…
